Before the coffee beans are roasted, they are placed in Auchentoshan single malt whiskey barrels from the Lowlands of Scotland to age for a period of time. The barrels are turned every day, so that each coffee bean can absorb the essence of the barrels. The brewed coffee has a hint of whiskey aroma.
The aging and roasting process of these three coffee beans are all carried out in Scotland, and they are aged in wine barrels for 12, 18 and 21 weeks respectively, and the flavors are quite different. Two of the coffee beans (12 weeks and 21 weeks) are processed by the International Women's Coffee Alliance (IWCA) in Burundi and Rwanda. Established in 2003, IWCA hopes to connect women from all over the world through the coffee industry, provide women with training and all related information on the coffee industry, so as to improve their self-reliance and enhance their status in the local and international communities.
This coffee has a very special place, that is, the taste of hot drink and cold drink is completely different. When you finish brewing coffee, let it cool down for a while, and you will find that the aroma of the wine will become more and more prominent.
We partnered with a local social enterprise - St. James' Settlement Groundworks (Groundworks) to complete the grinding and packaging process. Since the food factory produces different foods at the same time, there is a chance that the utensils will come into contact with materials such as peanuts or nuts.
