This is a colorful necklace strung with chevron beads, Christmas beads, tubular turquoise, and Karen silver. The blue beads are antique chevron beads, crafted in Venice in the early 20th century. Chevron beads are known as the "aristocrats of beads" (called Rosetta in Italian), their name deriving from the English word for their distinctive "chevron" or "zigzag" pattern. These are small, charmingly sized chevron beads. (Chevron bead size: 0.7cm width, 0.55cm diameter) The colorful beads are referred to as Christmas beads. This name originates from West Africa, where these vibrant beads are worn during the Christmas season. All the beads used here are from Venice and include White Hearts. Despite their vivid colors, these beads are approximately 100 years old! Tubular turquoise beads are interspersed throughout. Each bead offers a unique character with variations in hue and length.
