Instead of firing in the electric kiln that I normally use at home, I had the pieces fired in a kerosene kiln at the pottery maker that I am currently using. The pottery is fired using a method called reduction firing, which creates an oxygen shortage inside the kiln during firing, allowing you to enjoy a refined flavor that cannot be produced in an electric furnace. The glazes used are original to the pottery manufacturer, and offer colors and textures that cannot be found anywhere else. A medium-sized plate is a plate with a diameter of about 15 to 18 cm, and is the appropriate size for a larger side dish, a plate for one person's side dish, or a cake plate. This plate has a diameter of 15.5 cm, making it small for a medium-sized plate. The size makes it suitable for serving small dishes or as a side plate. The white tableware means that you can enjoy it with a variety of dishes, both Japanese and Western, regardless of the color of the ingredients. I use a small electric kiln and an electric potter's wheel at home to make my pottery, and I do all of the processes by hand, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing. Although we cannot mass-produce them, each one has its own unique expression, allowing you to enjoy the flavor that comes from being made by hand. Using various glazes and clays, I create a wide variety of pottery in different colors and shapes, searching for the best combinations.
