The Sprite is a variety known for its numerous individual growths. Because of its small size, it doesn't take up much space, and its cuteness and varied appearance have always made it a must-have for air plant enthusiasts. The Curly Leaf Sprite is a type of Sprite with elongated leaves that can exhibit curling. It is quite rare among the Sprite population. A variant of Ionantha rubra, the Curly Leaf Sprite typically has outward-curling leaves forming a fountain shape or displaying free-form curls. The degree of curl depends on the plant's water content; moderate withholding of water helps it grow curlier and more curved. With so many types, it's often difficult to distinguish one Sprite from another based solely on appearance. However, the cultivation methods for all varieties are similar: they are drought-tolerant yet appreciate water, thrive in good air circulation, and benefit from ventilation at the base when placed. When watering, mist the entire plant. Fertilize weekly with a liquid fertilizer diluted 1,000 times. Avoid prolonged rain exposure, though occasional splashes are fine. Leaf tips tend to dry out when dehydrated. They prefer at least semi-shade, with direct overhead light filtered. Lack of light results in dull coloration. They tend to clump readily. If you plan to grow them as a clump, it's advisable to trim old roots. When clumping, pay extra attention to air circulation. Carefully remove any dried leaves. At this stage, hanging cultivation is recommended. Observe the parent plant's decline to assess if it's time to separate pups. Too many pups can increase the risk of rot if air circulation is insufficient. | Water | Winter: Less water (water every 4 days to a week).
