<About Jasper>
Jasper is one of the two recognized jades in gemology, a variety of Hetian jade, appearing spinach green, and classified as nephrite. Jasper is known for its fine texture, smooth and lustrous like oil. "Taiwan Jade," which once enjoyed international renown, is a type of jasper. Taiwan Jade has been documented since the prehistoric Neolithic era, used to craft ornaments. Artifacts unearthed have been recognized as national treasures by the National Museum of Prehistory. Its mineral composition is primarily tremolite-actinolite, with a chemical composition of calcium, magnesium, and iron silicates, and a hardness of 6-6.5. Jasper has been cherished since ancient times, popular among royalty and nobility as early as the Qing Dynasty, and regarded as a precious item.
