Vintage German Haid & Neu mechanical sewing machine with original wooden case. Haid und Neu was was established as a sewing machine repair shop in Waldstrasse, Karlsruhe, Germany on 14 April 1860 by Georg Haid and Carl Wilhelm Neu. The serial number of this machine is 3376107, dating the year of production sometime between 1930 and 1938. There are some tools and parts in the compartment of the wooden body. With our limited knowledge of sewing, we got this machine to stitch a piece of cloth. This does not mean we claim it be fully functioning and durable as it is a vintage item. We therefore recommend it is used for decorative purposes only and not its originally intended purpose. The bobbin winder ring is worn but can still work when pressed onto the crank. The metal body of the machine shows signs of aging and usage. The wooden base and case have some surface marks due to usage. All wooden parts have recently been waxed with linseed oil.
