|░ Reasons to Love Jade ░|
"Jade nourishes the body for three years, and the body is nourished by jade for a lifetime."
Crystals have powerful energy fields but require regular demagnetization. Jade is a natural hard jade, with a gentle and mild nature. While its energy field may not be as strong as a crystal's, jade's inherent energy is extremely pure and clean, bringing only beneficial effects and dispelling negative energy.
Currently, over 40 minerals have been discovered in jade. Its chemical composition is sodium aluminum silicate—NaAI〔Si2 O6〕, often containing trace elements such as Calcium (Ca), Chromium (Cr), Nickel (Ni), Manganese (Mn), Magnesium (Mg), and Iron (Fe).
White: Basically contains no impurities.
Red: Contains trivalent iron.[2]
Black: Contains more than 2% chromium.
Green: Contains more than 2% chromium and divalent iron.
Yellow: Contains elemental iron.
Purple: Contains elemental manganese.
Blue: Basically the same as green, but rarer than other colors.
Trace element "Calcium" (Ca) is the most abundant mineral in the human body, mainly distributed in bones and teeth, with calcium also present in blood and muscles. Calcium is also an important regulator of human life activities. At every stage of growth and development, from youth to adulthood and old age, it shoulders important physiological functions. Calcium is an indispensable element for ensuring human health and longevity, and it is a macromineral that the human body cannot lack.
Trace element "Chromium" (Cr) is of considerable importance in maintaining normal physiological functions, preventing cardiovascular diseases, and helping regulate blood sugar. The human body cannot synthesize it on its own and must absorb it through natural foods or supplements. For type 2 diabetics, it can increase insulin sensitivity. For overweight individuals, it helps control cholesterol and blood sugar. Those under high stress lose chromium faster than average, making these three groups particularly in need.
Trace element "Nickel" (Ni) is an indispensable trace element for the human body. The human body contains about 6-10 mg of nickel, mainly in the brain and liver. Nickel is absorbed in the human intestines, and unabsorbed nickel is mostly excreted through feces. Only 10-20% of nickel from food is absorbed by the human body.
Trace element "Manganese" (Mn) is another type of trace element that protects the human body. Jade also contains this element. Long-term wear of jade can promote blood circulation, accelerate metabolism, alleviate aging, and prevent some age-related diseases.
Trace element "Magnesium" (Mg) is also a macromineral that the human body cannot lack. Like calcium, magnesium is a necessary nutrient for normal bone growth. Sufficient magnesium can effectively regulate calcium and maintain normal neuromuscular function, with both having a synergistic effect. Magnesium can inhibit platelet aggregation, so deficiency may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Moreover, magnesium deficiency can increase chronic inflammation in the body, which is related to the occurrence of many chronic diseases, especially the mortality rate of cardiovascular diseases. Some studies have shown that people who drink hard water, with relatively high calcium and magnesium content, have a lower mortality rate from cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, normal blood magnesium levels reduce the risk of atherosclerosis.
Trace element "Iron" (Fe) helps enzymes in biochemical reactions and metabolism, making it one of the "essential trace elements" for the human body. The adult human body usually contains 3-5 grams of iron, with 60-70% distributed in red blood cells. Other cells also need iron to function properly.
Medical research has revealed the powerful healing capabilities of jade. Long-term wear of jade can not only prevent diseases but also alleviate or even treat certain conditions.
Treating chest tightness: Some individuals with weaker constitutions may experience chest tightness. Wearing a jade pendant can alleviate common chest tightness. The jade pendant emits energy into the "Long Han" and "Shen Fu" acupoints on the chest, and through continuous massage, it can achieve a root-cause treatment.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory: In TCM, jade is believed to have the functions of "clearing middle-hand heat, moistening the heart and lungs, nourishing hair, nourishing the five organs, calming the spirit, clearing blood vessels, and improving vision and hearing."
Regularly wearing jade jewelry allows the trace elements within to be absorbed by the skin, aiding in the coordination and balance of physiological functions in the body's organs.
Nourishing the skin: Jade jewelry, whether necklaces, earrings, or bracelets, can come into direct contact with the skin. The mineral elements in jade are thus absorbed by the body, nourishing women's skin and making them appear fairer and more radiant.
Relieving summer heat: The cooling properties of jade provide a therapeutic and cooling sensation. During the Tang Dynasty, Yang Guifei would hold jade in her mouth to relieve summer heat. Since then, summer has become a cool season. Jade pillows, bracelets, beds, and pendants serve to relieve heat.
These are all evidence-based reasons for the benefits of jade. Another, less substantiated, reason is that looking at jade when feeling down or stressed provides an inexplicable sense of emotional healing, as if receiving comfort.
