The "Close to Mountains" art book by hsin features all the works from the artist's three-year "Close to Mountains" project—spanning the high-altitude "Summit of Clouds" in 2022, the mid-altitude "Misty Wilderness" in 2023, and the low-altitude "Broadleaf Jungle" in 2024. Created over three years, it explores the textures of Taiwan's mountain forests through changes in elevation, using art to document our memories and emotional currents tied to the land. The latter half of the book chronicles his expeditions with companions over the years, capturing photographs and writing to share stories and connections between the mountains, hsin, and his art.
