poem book : moon

To the Moon Like a friend who doesn’t speak, But always knows the words I seek. She stays so still, yet always near, A silent light that’s soft and clear. Among the trees, along the shore, She drifts beside me evermore. At times so small, at times so wide, She moves with me, but stays outside. Our lives are maps we slowly draw, With paths we choose and things we saw.She holds the past I’ve left behind, And futures I have yet to find.In all I am, and used to be The moon is there, Still here with me.
