[Fair trade, ethical products]
This cotton yarn has been dyed by Karen women living in Thailand using local plants.
To make it easy to use, we have rolled it up into a small length of about 80m.
The thin thread is 0.7mm thick, making it easy to embroider both intricate and large patterns.
You can choose any combination of 3 to 10 items.
The natural and warm texture created by natural materials and handwork is attractive.
The flickering colors are expressive and deep, making you want to stare at them forever.

"Chiku Chiku Tong Tong" works to preserve the traditional culture of the Karen people and create sustainable villages.
It takes anywhere from a few weeks to three months to make one item, from dyeing the thread to finishing touches such as sewing.
We hope you will enjoy using this product for a long time, appreciating the natural dyed colors that change over time and the texture that can only be achieved by hand weaving.

*About the product.

Karen dyeing, weaving, embroidery and sewing are traditional techniques handed down as home crafts rooted in daily life. They are different from professional techniques.
We strive to work precisely, but unlike ready-made products or products made by professionals, there are some imperfections. Please understand that this is the flavor of handiwork handed down from mother to daughter, and we hope you will understand this before purchasing.

Please note that if we are unable to confirm your payment or any contact with you within 3 business days, your order will be automatically cancelled.

[How to care for plant-dyed and hand-woven products]
Compared to chemical dyes, vegetable dyed products are less resistant to washing and sunlight, and the color will change with use. Please pay attention to the following points when caring for and using them.
Color transfer or fading may occur due to friction or getting wet. Please be careful of color transfer when wearing or using light-colored clothing or bags. If you wear it with dark-colored clothing or bags, color transfer will be less noticeable. Dark colors in particular tend to fade easily, so we recommend washing it once before wearing it.
We also recommend washing by hand, separately from other clothes. If you use a washing machine, use a neutral detergent, place in a laundry net, wash separately from other clothes, and use a gentle cycle. (However, using a washing machine may cause damage to the threads and discoloration.) Avoid using a dryer and hang to dry in the shade.
-About gluing.
In the case of fabric products, threads may be starched with rice, but the starch will come off after washing 2-3 times.
