Write or draw your favorite name by hand, and use a pen-shaped tool to carve your unique handwriting on the soft tin sheet, stroke by stroke, to make the most personal tin carving necklace or bookmark!



I like the "云" in my name the most. Although the strokes are simple, it has a unique flavor when written! You can first write a few of your names in a circle with a diameter of 2.5cm, or in an oval of 2.5cm (length) * 1.8cm (width), then choose the one you like the most, trace the outline of the characters with tracing paper, and then follow the procedure to make a tin carving necklace. If you don’t want to write it yourself, you can also tell us which Chinese or English word you want to make, and we will help you find the font suitable for tin carving!

🔹Personal unique handwriting font
The handwritten name is placed in a circle with a diameter of 2.5cm, or in an oval with a size of 2.5cm (length)*1.8cm (width), about 2mm from the edge. Once completed, it can be drawn on tracing paper and further made into tin carving.

What is Handmade Tin Sculpture?
Hand-made tin carving is a classical European craft technique. Tin has a soft personality and a warm silver-white color. You only need to draw a picture, without hammering or using fire. With a simple pen-shaped tool, you can "carve" out a "tin" work in your own style, stroke by stroke!

Basic techniques for tin carving
By alternating the use of pen-type tools and soft and hard pads, different degrees of relief expression are produced, making the pattern three-dimensional and layered.

The finished tin carving can be dyed or polished according to personal preference to create a retro effect or retain the silvery white of the tin sheet!

If you take classes at Wonderland Cafe on weekdays, you will receive a free NT$100 drink, and you can pay the difference to exchange for other drinks.
●A group consists of 1 person. If the time slot you want is not available in the form, you can make another appointment for more than 2 people.

●Tin sheet - 4 pieces of tin sheet about 3x3cm (enough to make 4 pieces)
●Carrier -(The colors are bronze and silver, first come first served)
(1) Metal bookmark (short version: about 8x2cm; long version: about 13.5x2cm)
(2) Pendant (a. Oval: about 2.5x1.8cm or b. Round: diameter 2.5cm, both with imitation leather cord: length about 50cm + extension chain 5cm)

I originally wanted to play with clay with my children, but unexpectedly it ignited my handcrafting spirit and led me to come into contact with more different media. In the process of learning tin carving, watching the tin sheet being embossed with tools and then slowly defining the edges, the moment of completion will give people a happy feeling of "WOW"! As the graphics slowly appear, my heart becomes calm and joyful.
In several exhibitions, tin sculptures were combined with clay succulents. The elegance of tin matched with colorful and lively succulents made the works more attractive and gave people a refreshing feeling. I hope to promote the handcraft of tin carving so that more people can know about tin carving and experience the beauty of tin carving!
