Began studying jade carving in Taipei in 1988. Studied Advertising Design in vocational high school from 1993, integrating design concepts into his work. Established his own studio in 1994. Received an Honorable Mention in the Craft category at the 14th Nan Ying Arts Exhibition in 2000 for "Waiting for the Moment." Participated in a jade and stone joint exhibition at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in August 2000. Invited to the Hualien International Arts Festival in 2001 for live carving in the local creation area. Selected for the "Dream of Craftsmanship" award at the 10th Taiwan Craft Design Competition in 2002. Participated in a jade and stone exhibition at the Hsinchu County Cultural Affairs Bureau in January. Featured in a jade and stone exhibition at the "Flowers and Trees Carnival" in Changhua County in May. Invited by the Shinkong Mitsukoshi Cultural Foundation and Hualien County Cultural Affairs Bureau for the "Grand View of Stones" exhibition at Shinkong Mitsukoshi department stores nationwide from October to December 2002. Invited by the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute to exhibit works such as "Lotus Ecological Scenery" at the "Taitung Local Craft Exhibition" held at the Presidential Office in 2003. Featured in a solo exhibition, "Xie Zhong-ren Jade Stone Carving Exhibition," on the National Education Radio's "Arts and Culture Corridor" from March to June 2004. Received an Honorable Mention at the 12th Taiwan Craft Design Competition's "Dream of Craftsmanship." Held a solo exhibition at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall from October 2004 to January 2005. Invited by the National Taiwan Museum to exhibit his work "Taiwanese Snacks - Braised Pork Rice" in 2005. Participated in the "Faces of Sherlock Holmes Exhibition" at the National Museum of the Czech Republic from June to September, in exchange with the museum. Launched the brand "Yuning Craft" with a department store counter. Featured in the "Craft Master" exhibition at Pacific Sogo department store in mid-December 2005. Invited to participate in the "Craft at Arm's Length – Application of Living Crafts" exhibition at the Executive Yuan Gallery, organized by the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute in 2007. His work "Japanese-Style Sushi" was selected for the "Taiwan Craft Competition" at the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute in 2008. Received an Honorable Mention in the Traditional Craft category at the Ministry of Culture and National Taiwan Craft Research Institute's Research and Development Center's "Taiwan Craft Competition" for his work "Half-Thought" in 2012. Also received an Honorable Mention in the Craft category at the 21st Tainan City "Nan Ying Award" for his work "Quiet Mountain Landscape." Invited to exhibit in the Taiwanese Jade Master Zone at the "Cross-Strait Jade Carving Exchange Gathering" at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in 2013. Invited by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center to exhibit in the Presidential Office Gallery's "Gathering Around the Fire – Sustainable Craft Exhibition" in 2016, showcasing three works: "Japanese-Style Sushi," "Handmade Mochi," and "Moment of Leap." His work "Lingering Lotus Spring" received an Honorable Mention at the Taoyuan Arts Exhibition in 2017. Held a solo exhibition, "Xie Zhong-ren Jade Carving 30 Years – Continuing Culture," at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in 2018. Invited by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center to exhibit his work "Auspicious Dragon Presents Blessings" at the Presidential Office Gallery's "Feast · Happiness" exhibition from January to June 2019. Participated in the "Joyful Hearts, Brilliant Arts – Taiwan Craft Development Association Boutique Exhibition," held concurrently at the Hsinchu County Government Cultural Affairs Bureau (July 29 - August 16, 2020) and the Taipei Contemporary Craft Design Branch of the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center (October 6, 2020 - February 28, 2021). His work "Japanese-Style Sushi" was exhibited in the "Creative Regeneration Green Craft" exhibition hosted by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center from October to November 2021.
