Features delicate flower shapes and a once-in-a-lifetime beauty. While you admire it, water it daily. A Mangekyo hydrangea in a small pot, gently cradled in your palm. Easy to carry to the office even when in bloom. After flowering, prune the stems back to two leaves, and two new branches will form. Next year, the leaves will be smaller, and the flowers more numerous. New shoots will develop at the base, becoming next year's flowering branches. In autumn and winter, apply flowering fertilizer, do not prune, and do not withhold water. It will bloom again as promised next year. Avoid watering the petals directly.
