It contains no harmful substances and is suitable for items that come into direct contact with the skin, making it an environmentally friendly choice. ● Color Evolution of Vegetable-Tanned Leather Natural-colored vegetable-tanned leather deepens in color and gains a richer luster and suppleness with use over time. Colored vegetable-tanned leather is dyed using non-polluting pigments in a natural process. While black may not show as dramatic a color change as the natural shade, it will still develop a beautiful, lustrous sheen with long-term use.
