✨Details✨
🏆 Wedgwood classic craftsmanship - with the Jasper (jasper pottery) and Basalt (basalt) technology inherited for hundreds of years, the surface is delicate and matte, exuding a low-key and luxurious texture. It can be called an artistic masterpiece among Olympic commemorative porcelain.
🔥 Olympic flame relief design - In the center of the porcelain plate is a relief of a running Olympic torchbearer, symbolizing unity, hard work and competitive spirit. The torch and olive wreath in his hand are embellished with gold, presenting an elegant and noble visual effect.
📜 Two commemorative plates, carrying history——
🔹 1972 Munich Olympics (Black Basalt Model): The low-key and calm black base, paired with golden inscriptions and olive wreaths, is extremely royal and aristocratic, suitable for collectors who love solemn style.
🔹 1980 Moscow Olympics (Aquamarine Jasper): The warm aqua blue tone, paired with a white laurel wreath and a golden torchbearer, shows an elegant and fresh classical charm, reminiscent of the glorious history of the Greek Olympics.
🎖 Olympic motto and year logo——
🔸 “NOT THE WINNING BUT THE TAKING PART” – emphasizes the true spirit of Olympic competition.
🔹 Olympiad XX Munich 1972 / Olympiad XXII Moscow 1980 —— Both porcelain plates are engraved with the name and year of the Olympic Games, and are of great commemorative and collection value.
✨✨ Wedgwood ✨✨
Josiah Wedgwood, known as the "Father of British Potters", is a famous British ceramic brand with a long history, founded in 1759. Wedgwood is renowned for its high-quality porcelain products, particularly its distinctive 'Jasperware', which is noted for its elegant light relief and muted background. Wedgwood's elegant designs and exquisite craftsmanship are often favored by royal families, nobles and art lovers, becoming one of the classic representatives of British ceramic craftsmanship.
In 1759 the main kiln was established in Stoke-on-Trent. Soon after the company was founded, hard ceramics were developed and named "Queen's Porcelain" by the wife of King George IV. He also published the black pottery made by potters at the time, naming it "Egyptian Black". In 1774 he established Wedgwood's reputation with his newly invented cameo jade. In the following years, new types of ceramics came into being one after another based on his research.
