The ruler surface is blackened and then polished bright, and riveted to the animal body, creating a fine texture. It serves a dual purpose as both a ruler and a bookmark. ⊕ When reading at home, the animal body can be left extending beyond the book page, as if a small creature is accompanying your reading. If using it for a planner or a book to be carried out, the entire bookmark can be inserted into the book page, protecting the delicate animal silhouette from bending or folding.
