Crystal Clear Aloe, Scientific Name: Haworthia cymbiformis var. obtusa Also known as: Grass Jade Dew, Jade Dew Peony,姬玉蟲 Family: Lilyaceae This is the most beginner-friendly variety of Aloe, making it easy to care for and highly ornamental. Grown under appropriate lighting, the Crystal Clear Aloe's leaves are highly translucent, plump, tender, and crystal clear, making it incredibly charming and captivating! The Crystal Clear Aloe grows in a clustered form and readily produces offsets, making it a miniature treasure. It features "windows" near the leaf margins, and the plant is small and adorable~ When well-hydrated, the leaves are plumper, and the windows are more transparent and beautiful. It is truly stunning! Easy to cultivate, just remember it dislikes stuffy heat! Water more during the growing seasons of spring and autumn, reduce watering in summer, and place it in a well-ventilated area. |Light| Crystal Clear Aloe is a light-loving plant. It should typically be placed in a bright area without direct sunlight. Insufficient light can cause the plant to become leggy and reduce the translucency of its leaves. Excessive light can lead to poor leaf growth, turning the leaves a light brown, diminishing the window's transparency, and even causing leaf scorch and blemishes. Under appropriate lighting, the Crystal Clear Aloe's leaves are highly translucent, plump, and tender. |Watering| Water thoroughly until water drains from the bottom of the pot. Water again when the soil is dry. In summer, due to the hot and humid weather, control the amount of water to prevent rot. Spring and autumn are the growing seasons for Crystal Clear Aloe. It is best to water after the soil has dried out. In summer, reduce the amount of water; it is recommended to simply mist the leaves. In winter, place it indoors with sunlight and do not overwater; misting is sufficient. |Summer & Winter Care| In summer, Crystal Clear Aloe enters dormancy due to high temperatures, causing growth to stop or slow down, and the leaves at the bottom of the plant gradually dry out. At this time, the soil should be kept relatively dry. Only water lightly around the edge of the pot once a month, avoiding the center of the leaves. Due to the high temperatures, the plant is prone to root and crown rot, so only provide enough water to support slow root growth. Do not withhold water entirely, as this may prolong the plant's dormancy. In winter, it is recommended to protect it with a glass cover and keep the soil slightly moist, with only a small amount of water given monthly.
