In reality, many minor issues with clothing can be resolved through simple hand-sewing techniques.
This course centers on **"truly practical sewing skills for daily life."** No prior sewing experience is necessary. Starting with threading a needle and tying a knot, it guides students to build fundamental hand-sewing abilities, learn to care for their own clothes, and ensure their beloved garments accompany them for longer.
In this class, you will learn:
1. Introduction to Basic Sewing Tools
- Overview of common hand-sewing tools
- How to choose different needles and threads
- Techniques for using a seam ripper
2. Fundamental Hand-Sewing Skills
- Threading a needle
- Using single and double threads
- Tying knots and finishing threads
3. Most Commonly Used Hand-Sewing Techniques in Daily Life
- Running stitch
- Backstitch
- Hemming stitch (Blind stitch)
- Catchstitch
- Overcast stitch
4. How to Apply Hand-Sewing Techniques to Everyday Clothing Repair, understanding the appropriate scenarios for different stitches, such as:
- Fixing frayed hems / Simple length alterations
- Loose seams
- Minor tear repairs
- Clothing organization and reinforcement
Students can arrange their class times according to their convenience. Feel free to ask questions or seek repeated demonstrations if you have any doubts or difficulties; you don't need to worry about holding back the progress of other students in a one-on-one private lesson!
Within the 1.5-hour course, the instructor will guide you step-by-step through all the techniques, completing practice samples in class. You can ask questions at any time. We hope every student with a learning need can confidently and happily acquire practical sewing skills for daily life!
**Note: As the content and communication require a certain level of understanding, only students aged 15 and above are currently accepted. If a student under 15 wishes to attend, please message us first to discuss.**
This course only teaches basic hand-sewing techniques. Practical samples will be made in class (to help you get the hang of it), which can be used as a reference for future self-practice upon completion.
If you wish to purchase additional materials for practice at home after the class, you can inquire about purchasing them during the lesson.

Physical Class Registration and Policies (Effective from January 1, 2026)
I. Registration and Course Arrangement Principles
Physical courses are open for registration strictly based on **available slots released monthly**, with a final registration deadline (2 days prior to the course date).
Upon successful registration and confirmation, the course slot will be reserved, and related teaching and work arrangements will be made. **Rescheduling, make-up classes, or transferring of slots are not permitted, nor can they be converted to other class formats.**
Students are requested to **confirm their availability for the entire course duration before registering**; if the time is not suitable, please choose another available session released in the future.
II. Cancellation and Refund Policy
If a student needs to cancel their registration due to **personal reasons, please submit a cancellation request at least 7 days prior to the course date (inclusive)**. A **20% administrative fee of the course fee will be charged**, and the remaining balance will be refunded. The administrative fee is applicable regardless of the reason for cancellation or how early it is made.
**Cancellations made within 7 days prior to the course (excluding the 7th day), or no-shows on the course day, will be considered forfeiture of the course slot, and no refund will be issued.**
III. Scope of Application for Cancellation Reasons
Personal reasons include, but are not limited to: **scheduling conflicts, last-minute work arrangements, feeling unwell, forgetting to use discounts/points/store credit, not paying attention to course time and content, operational errors, change of mind, etc.** All these cases are subject to the above cancellation and refund policy.
IV. Course Conduct and On-Site Regulations
To ensure course quality, **auditing is not permitted**. If a family member or friend accompanies you, please wait in a nearby cafe or convenience store until the course concludes.
As each student's comprehension and progress vary, please arrive on time to avoid affecting the class schedule and teaching pace. If you anticipate being late due to special circumstances, please contact the instructor in advance.
**Students arriving more than 30 minutes late will be considered a no-show for the day. The course will be deemed completed, and no make-up class or refund will be provided.**
**Recording is prohibited** during the course.
V. Language and Fee Information
If English instruction is required, please specify this in your registration notes in advance.
Tool and material fees are payable on the day of the class. Atelier Llewellyn is a studio that does not issue VAT invoices and will provide receipts to students.
VI. Force Majeure
In case of typhoons or other force majeure events, the cancellation standards announced by the government will apply. Atelier Llewellyn will proactively contact students to coordinate subsequent course arrangements.
VII. Other Information
Atelier Llewellyn reserves the right to adjust course content and teaching arrangements.
By completing the registration, students acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to the above course regulations.
