Have you ever wanted to learn a skill but worried that a class might be canceled due to insufficient enrollment? Since the launch of our basic hand-sewing classes, we've found that most students enroll individually because they are absolute beginners and have clothes that need mending. These reasons have led us to rethink the positioning of our foundational courses. To better accommodate students who wish to learn but are concerned about low enrollment numbers... **We now offer one-on-one private sessions!!** Students can schedule their lessons at a time that suits them. You can confidently ask questions or request the instructor to repeat a demonstration without any hesitation, without worrying about holding back other classmates. These concerns are non-existent in a private one-on-one setting! Within the 1.5-hour session, the instructor will guide you step-by-step through all the techniques, completing a sample piece during the class. Feel free to ask questions anytime. We hope every student who wishes to learn can acquire practical sewing skills for daily life in a relaxed and enjoyable manner! **Note:** Due to the need for a certain level of understanding for the content and communication, only students aged 15 and above are currently accepted. Because you didn't know how to use a needle and thread to make simple repairs on your or your family's clothes, you stopped wearing those items with loose stitching, missing buttons, or unfastened hooks? In recent years, the rise of fast fashion has transformed and impacted consumers' habits regarding purchasing and wearing clothes. Many items are perhaps no longer worn before they even wear out, which feels like a shame! However, regardless of how fast fashion changes our lives, there will always be some cherished garments that we want to preserve or continue wearing in our daily lives. No matter how carefully we care for them, clothes eventually need mending. This includes buttons on shirts or coats that might come loose, hems on pants or skirts that unravel, seams that split, or even if you simply want to alter the length yourself. Through various hand-sewing technique modules, this course is designed for absolute beginners who have no prior sewing experience but are interested in learning. The goal is to equip students with basic hand-sewing skills, enabling them to perform practical tasks like simple clothing mending at home. Only basic hand-sewing techniques are taught. A practical piece will be made in class (to practice your skills) and can be used as a reference sample for future self-study after completion.
