|░ Reasons to Love Jadeite ░|
"Human nurtures jade for three years, jade nurtures human for a lifetime."
Crystals possess a powerful energy field but require regular cleansing. Jadeite, a natural hard jade, is gentle and soft in nature. While its energy field may not be as potent as crystals, jadeite's inherent energy is exceptionally pure and clean, offering only beneficial influences and dispelling negative energy.
Currently, over 40 minerals have been identified in jadeite. Its chemical composition is Sodium Aluminum Silicate (NaAI[Si2 O6]), often containing trace elements such as Calcium (Ca), Chromium (Cr), Nickel (Ni), Manganese (Mn), Magnesium (Mg), and Iron (Fe).
White: Essentially free of impurities.
Red: Contains trivalent iron.
Black: Contains over 2% chromium.
Green: Contains over 2% chromium and ferrous iron.
Yellow: Contains iron elements.
Purple: Contains manganese elements.
Blue: Similar to green, but rarer than other colors.
Trace element "Calcium" (Ca) is the most abundant mineral in the human body, primarily found in bones and teeth, with presence in blood and muscles. Calcium is a crucial regulator of vital bodily activities throughout all life stages, from youth to adulthood and old age. It plays a significant physiological role, making it an indispensable macronutrient for human health and longevity.
Trace element "Chromium" (Cr) is highly important for maintaining normal physiological functions, preventing cardiovascular diseases, and aiding in blood sugar regulation. The human body cannot synthesize it and must obtain it through natural foods or supplements. For individuals with type 2 diabetes, chromium can enhance insulin sensitivity. It benefits overweight individuals by helping to manage cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Those under high stress experience faster chromium depletion, making these individuals particularly in need.
Trace element "Nickel" (Ni) is an essential trace element for the human body. Adults typically contain 6-10 mg of nickel, mainly in the brain and liver. Nickel is absorbed in the intestines, and unabsorbed nickel is mostly excreted through feces. Only 10-20% of nickel from food is absorbed by the body.
Trace element "Manganese" (Mn) is another category of trace elements that protects the body. Jadeite also contains this element. Long-term wear of jadeite can promote blood circulation, accelerate metabolism, alleviate aging, and prevent certain age-related diseases.
Trace element "Magnesium" (Mg) is another macronutrient essential for the human body. Like calcium, magnesium is a vital nutrient for normal bone growth. Sufficient magnesium levels can effectively regulate calcium and maintain normal neuromuscular function, with both working synergistically. Magnesium can inhibit platelet aggregation, so deficiency may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, magnesium deficiency can lead to chronic inflammation in the body, linked to the onset of many chronic conditions, particularly cardiovascular mortality. Studies have shown that people who drink hard water, with relatively high calcium and magnesium content, have lower mortality rates from cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, maintaining normal blood magnesium levels reduces the risk of atherosclerosis.
Trace element "Iron" (Fe) assists enzymes in biochemical reactions and metabolism, making it one of the "essential trace elements." Adult bodies typically contain 3-5 grams of iron, with 60-70% distributed in red blood cells. Other cells also require iron for smooth operation.
Medical research reveals jadeite's remarkable therapeutic properties. Long-term wear of jadeite can not only prevent illnesses but also alleviate and even treat certain conditions.
Treating Chest Tightness: Some individuals with weaker constitutions may experience chest tightness. Wearing a jadeite pendant can alleviate this common ailment. The jadeite pendant emits energy into the acupoints "Long Han" (龍頷) and "Shen Fu" (神府) on the chest, providing a lasting effect through continuous massage.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory: In TCM, jadeite is believed to possess the following benefits: "clearing internal heat, moistening the heart and lungs, nourishing hair, tonifying the five viscera, calming the spirit, promoting blood circulation, and enhancing vision and hearing."
Regularly wearing jadeite jewelry allows its trace elements to be absorbed by the skin, aiding in the coordination and balance of physiological functions in the body's organs.
Nourishing the Skin: Jadeite jewelry, whether necklaces, earrings, or bracelets, comes into direct contact with the skin. The mineral elements in jadeite are thus absorbed by the body, nourishing the skin and imparting a fairer and more radiant complexion.
Cooling Relief: The inherent coolness of jadeite offers a soothing and refreshing sensation. During the Tang Dynasty, Yang Guifei famously held jade in her mouth to relieve summer heat. Since then, summer has become a season of cool respite. Jade pillows, bracelets, beds, and pendants are all used to ward off the heat.
The above are evidence-based reasons for the benefits of jadeite. Another, less substantiated, reason is its perceived ability to provide inexplicable emotional healing and comfort when one feels down or stressed, offering a sense of solace.
