It's large size and strong enough to use. Simple shape, but it has a strong presence in the table. Hinoki is popular wood in Japan. It's conifer, but strong enough because of high density. It's also strong for water, because it contains a lot of natural wax inside. So it's used for making bathtub. It's also suitable for spoon because of same reason.
