The picture book "Traces" is Chi-Yuan Chou's work selected for the Bologna Illustrators Exhibition.
Originally a public art piece created to commemorate the 130th anniversary of Taipei's founding, unfolding the pages reveals old railway lines laid out by Chi-Yuan Chou. Journey from west to east Taipei, exploring the Wanhua sugar refineries, the Jianguo Brewery, and then entering the Taipei Railway Workshop. Witness over a century of urban and industrial structural changes.
Through a worker and a black dog, in a series of pursuits after a blackbird, they travel together through the buildings along Taipei's railway lines, erected over a hundred years ago due to industrial development.
