This piece uses cinnabar glaze. Achieving such a beautiful color with this glaze is quite challenging, yet this work has captured it perfectly, resulting in a deep shade that is both a calm pink and a reddish-purple. Beyond use as a rice bowl, it also serves beautifully as a small side dish bowl. ◯ Size: Diameter approx. 11.5cm, Height approx. 6cm ◯ Founded in the second year of the Meiji era, Sakatsu-yaki is a form of "Kurashiki folk craft."
