If they are simply closed and not shriveled, they will reopen the next sunny day. Once the flowers have bloomed and faded, there's no need to trim or remove them. They will naturally wither and fall off or collapse after blooming. The number of flower buds on each cactus varies. Some may be about to bloom, while others might open during transit, or they may have already finished blooming by the time you receive them. The designer occasionally takes photos when the cactus is in bloom, but it's possible the flowers will have already finished by the time you purchase it. While it's an easy-to-care-for cactus, proper methods are important to ensure it flowers prolifically and maintains its aesthetic appeal. | Soil | The Jade Cushion is not demanding about its soil. Any well-draining, sandy soil will suffice. You can prepare a mixture of peat moss, granular garden soil, and river sand in balanced proportions. This soil is both fertile and provides excellent drainage, preventing compaction. | Watering | The Jade Cushion is highly drought-tolerant, requiring infrequent watering. Water thoroughly only when the soil feels quite dry. Typically, watering two to three times a month is sufficient to meet its hydration needs, making it perfect for busy individuals or those with a less demanding gardening routine. During dry summer spells, you can mist the air around the cactus, but avoid spraying its body directly; maintaining air humidity is key. Watering averages once every three weeks. In winter, the Jade Cushion is sensitive to cold, so reduce watering even further. | Light | The Jade Cushion thrives in bright light.
