The leather used is the shoulder part of the steer (adult cow), making it a rare and high-quality leather due to its limited availability. Crafted using traditional vegetable tanning methods passed down in Tuscany, and dyed with natural dyes like flowers and bark, it exudes a simple warmth that feels authentically leather-like. The most captivating feature of Buttero leather is its beautiful "aging process." The densely packed fibers allow vegetable oils to be slowly absorbed, gradually surfacing to reveal a dynamic and beautiful "deepening color and gloss" over time. We have selected beige, the color that best showcases this aging process, for this edition. Inside, we have used Barolo, a domestic vegetable-tanned leather known for its slightly slower yet beautiful aging process.
