A translucent icy jadeite base sets off floating blue patterns in changing depths of colour. The rounded deer form and fine carved details become more dimensional in the light. Before ordering, please become familiar with the distinctive features formed during its natural growth. 1. Natural textures Jadeite may contain ice-like fissures, silk-like lines and stone grain. These are naturally formed features. 2. Uneven colour distribution Natural jadeite is often not completely uniform in colour. Colour roots, gradients or mixed tones are part of its distinctive beauty. 3. Variations in lustre and transparency Lustre can appear different under changing light. Transparency also varies with thickness and viewing angle, reflecting the natural character of jadeite. 4. Minor inclusions Natural jadeite may contain small mineral inclusions visible to the eye as a result of its formation. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54358103633_68ecfcc56b_b.jpg Everyday Jadeite Care Jadeite is a precious gemstone. Appropriate care helps preserve its appearance and lustre over time. 1. Avoid strong impact Although jadeite is relatively hard, a strong impact can still cause fractures. Avoid dropping it or striking hard objects when handling or displaying it. 2. Keep away from harsh chemicals Avoid contact with strong cleaning agents, perfume and cosmetics that may affect the surface and lustre. 3. Gentle regular cleaning • Clean gently with warm water and a little mild soap, using a soft brush if needed. • Rinse with clean water. Avoid strong acidic or alkaline cleaners. 4. Avoid high heat Keep the piece away from high-temperature heat sources. Inappropriate heating can damage jadeite. 5. Gentle daily wiping Wipe the surface with a soft, lint-free cloth. After cleaning, gently dry it before storage. 6. Proper storage • Store jadeite separately to prevent rubbing against other jewellery and causing scratches. • Use a soft velvet pouch or jewellery box, keeping it clean and free from dampness. 7. Clean after handling After handling, gently wipe the surface with a soft cloth to remove fingerprints and perspiration residue. Natural Stone Features During formation, natural minerals may develop internal fractures, cloudy inclusions, veils, mineral traces, dark spots, colour bands, crystal patterns or intergrown inclusions.
