A pair Qing Yongzheng bowls featuring enamel-painted pomegranate flowers & birds

Total Height: 7 cm Bottom Diameter: 6.3 cm Top Diameter: 15 cm These bowls have flared rims, deep curved walls, and short ringed feet. The interiors are plain, while one side of the exteriors depicts scholars' rocks, with yellow daylilies blooming on either side. Perched on the rocks are two oriole birds, one gazing back, and following their gaze reveals a tall and fruitful pomegranate tree. The other side of the exterior bears an inscription in ink reading, "Wax beads clustered as buds, colorful threads cut into tassels," a couplet from the neck of a five-character regulated poem "Hai Liu" by the Tang Dynasty poet Wen Tingyun. Preceding the poetic lines are three red seal impressions reading "Jia Li" in the front and "Xu" and "Ying" in the rear. The base is inscribed with two lines in blue script, "Made in the Yongzheng reign of the Great Qing," enclosed within double blue rectangular borders.
