**|░ Reasons to Love Jadeite ░|**
"One cares for jade for three years, and jade cares for one for a lifetime."
Crystals possess powerful energy fields but require regular cleansing. Jadeite, a natural hard jade, is gentle and soft in nature. While its energy field may not be as potent as crystals, jadeite's inherent energy is exceptionally pure and clean, bringing only beneficial effects and dispelling negative energy.
Currently, over 40 minerals have been identified in jadeite. Its chemical composition is sodium aluminum silicate—NaAI[Si2 O6], often containing trace elements such as calcium (Ca), chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), manganese (Mn), magnesium (Mg), and iron (Fe).
White: Essentially contains no impurities.
Red: Contains trivalent iron. [2]
Black: Contains over 2% chromium.
Green: Contains over 2% chromium and ferrous iron.
Yellow: Contains iron.
Purple: Contains manganese.
Blue: Similar to green, but rarer than other colors.
Trace element "Calcium" (Ca) is the most abundant mineral in the human body, primarily distributed in bones and teeth, with presence also in blood and muscles. Calcium is a vital regulator of bodily life activities, fulfilling crucial physiological functions throughout all stages of growth and development, from youth to adulthood and old age. Calcium is an indispensable macro-mineral for ensuring human health and longevity.
Trace element "Chromium" (Cr) plays a significant role in maintaining normal physiological functions, preventing cardiovascular diseases, and aiding in blood sugar regulation. The human body cannot synthesize it and must obtain it through natural foods or supplements. For individuals with type 2 diabetes, it can enhance insulin sensitivity. For those who are overweight, it helps control cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Chromium is lost at a faster rate in individuals under high stress compared to others, making these three groups particularly in need.
Trace element "Nickel" (Ni) is an essential trace element for the human body. Adult bodies contain approximately 6-10 mg of nickel, primarily found in the brain and liver. Nickel is absorbed in the intestines, with unabsorbed nickel mostly excreted through feces. Only 10-20% of nickel from food is absorbed by the body.
Trace element "Manganese" (Mn) is another type of trace element that protects the body. Jadeite also contains this element. Long-term wear of jadeite can promote blood circulation, accelerate metabolism, alleviate aging, and prevent certain age-related diseases.
Trace element "Magnesium" (Mg) is also a macro-mineral essential for the human body. Like calcium, magnesium is necessary for normal bone growth. Sufficient magnesium levels effectively regulate calcium and maintain normal neuromuscular function, with both elements having a synergistic effect. Magnesium can inhibit platelet aggregation, so deficiency may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, magnesium deficiency can increase chronic inflammation and is associated with the occurrence of many chronic diseases, particularly cardiovascular mortality. Some studies have shown that individuals who drink hard water, which has relatively higher calcium and magnesium content, have a lower mortality rate from cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, maintaining normal blood magnesium levels is associated with a lower risk of atherosclerosis.
Trace element "Iron" (Fe) aids enzymes in biochemical reactions and metabolism, making it one of the "essential trace elements" for the human body. Adult bodies typically contain 3-5 grams of iron, with 60-70% distributed in red blood cells. Other cells also require iron's assistance to function smoothly.
Medical research indicates that jadeite possesses potent healing properties. Long-term wear of jadeite can not only prevent illnesses but also alleviate or even treat certain conditions.
Relieving Chest Tightness: Some individuals with weaker constitutions occasionally experience chest tightness. Wearing a jadeite pendant can help treat this common ailment. The jadeite pendant emits energy to the "Long Han" and "Shen Fu" acupoints on the chest, and through continuous massage, it can achieve a complete resolution.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory: In TCM, jadeite is believed to have the benefits of "clearing internal heat, moistening the heart and lungs, nourishing hair, tonifying the five viscera, calming the spirit, clearing blood vessels, and improving eyesight."
Regularly wearing jadeite jewelry allows its trace elements to be absorbed by the skin, aiding in the coordination and balance of physiological functions of the body's organs.
Nourishing the Skin: Jadeite jewelry, whether necklaces, earrings, or bracelets, can be in direct contact with the skin. The mineral elements from the jadeite are absorbed into the body, nourishing a woman's skin and making her appear fairer and more radiant.
Cooling Off: The cool, soothing nature of jadeite provides therapeutic relief and helps combat the heat. In the Tang Dynasty, Lady Yang Guifei would hold jade in her mouth to cool down during summer. Since then, summer became a season of refreshing coolness. Jade pillows, bracelets, beds, and pendants are used to provide relief from the heat.
The above are evidence-based reasons for appreciating jadeite. Another, less tangible reason is its inexplicable ability to soothe the mood when one feels down or stressed, offering a sense of comfort.
