April Earrings/ Clip-On

Yaezakura pierced earrings/ Clip-On made of Mino Japanese paper with a soft and gentle pink color. I made it with the image of cherry blossoms that bloom softly in the soft spring weather. The overlapping petals are slightly colored, creating a lovely and beautiful work. In order to create a different impression from the previous work "april", I chose Yaezakura instead of Someiyoshino. As for coloring, we do not use white, and the color is based on the original whiteness of Japanese paper. The petals are cut out one by one in various sizes and carefully colored with a commonly used highlighter pen. Light transmission is beautiful because metal fittings are kept to a minimum. The part that touches the skin directly on the back of the main unit is coated with a thick resin and polished.
