Vegetable-tanned leather, as the name suggests, is **leather tanned using plant-based tannins**. It is a general term for leather that is preserved using the tannins from plants. The characteristic of this type of leather is its initial **light skin tone**, which gradually deepens from light to caramel or even darker shades due to factors like sunlight, time, air exposure, and contact with water. This aging process makes your leather goods more beautiful and lustrous with use. Our chosen leather undergoes **no surface treatment**. Just like human skin, cattle have **natural grains and marks** from their natural growth. Surface treatment is like makeup, concealing all imperfections. Therefore, **leather with very poor surface quality typically requires surface treatment**. If the leather gets wet, simply **air dry it in the shade**. If it becomes dry due to frequent water exposure, you can apply a thin layer of leather conditioning oil as needed. **Do not use lotions or petroleum jelly-based products**, as they can clog the leather's pores and damage the item. For regular storage, keep your leather goods in a cool, well-ventilated area to avoid excessive humidity and mildew. If mildew appears, gently wipe the surface with a dry cloth to remove the mold.
