Handmade silver necklace with bended textured silver pieces (N0108)

This necklace is handmade from two silver pieces that are crafted from a silver strip that we textured on surface with natural materials (wooden tree bark, straw, dry teak tree leaves, etc). The silver strip was thinned to roughly around 0.5 mm thickness by passing it into a rolling mill together with various materials that left the surface textured with beautiful, deeply embossed, natural patterns. The two pieces of silver strip were cut in different simple geometric forms, smoothed on edges and bent into the final shape. The necklace is in sterling silver and closes with simple spring ring closure. Because of the manual process of texturing the metal we can never recreate 100% same surface, however we will make sure the final effect is about the same. Uniqueness of the product is what makes it special, as no two necklaces can be exactly the same. We also made matching stud and long hook earrings that you can find in separate listings. Our products are hand crafted in 95-98% Silver by Thai Karen hill-tribe artisans. The Karen are a group of ethnic peoples who reside primarily in southern and southeastern Burma and in northern and north-eastern Thailand. Thai and Burmese hill tribes can be traced back to the 12th century when they are said to have originated from Tibet. With a higher silver content than sterling silver, Karen silver has a weight, bright satin color and feel, all of its own. Every piece is handmade and individual. The product comes in a traditional Thai packaging and includes tracking number for safer shipping.
