An SDGs-conscious Kintsugi ring, upcycled from Arita ware. We reuse cracked or chipped ceramic pieces that are no longer in use, apply Kintsugi, and transform them into accessories. Our concept is to allow people to feel closer to nature and Japan's enduring traditions, and to give new life and possibilities to these pieces by reimagining them as modern accessories that connect to the future. This piece features a delicate porcelain fragment with a subtle glimpse of a golden leaf pattern, adorned with a freshwater pearl. Kintsugi is applied to the sides of the porcelain fragment, allowing the gold to subtly catch the light from every angle, adding an elegant touch. The included chain is made of allergy-friendly surgical stainless steel with 18K coating, making it resistant to discoloration and gentle on the skin. The chain length is 40cm with a 5cm adjustable extender. This piece is created using a modern, simplified Kintsugi technique. Instead of traditional lacquer derived from lacquer tree sap, we use a new, less allergenic synthetic lacquer and gold powder (brass powder), along with UV resin for reinforcement. * While we strive for meticulous craftsmanship, there may be instances of adhesive or UV resin overflow, or uneven application of lacquer on some products. These are sometimes left as is to ensure durability, or the mixture of lacquer and brass powder may not be perfectly uniform. We kindly ask for your understanding that this is a handmade item.
