Its heartwood typically ranges from orange-red to brick-red or purplish-red, often featuring dark striations. The grain is clear and the texture fine and uniform, with some areas exhibiting striking, intermittent, and aesthetically pleasing "tiger stripes." The color leans reddish, with a pale red grain. Its most distinctive feature is a rich, fruity aroma, more pronounced in freshly cut surfaces, emitting a subtle yet profound sandalwood fragrance.
