Precious Literati Ivorywood - Medium Grade Bonsai Ivory Persimmon

Ivorywood, also known as Ivory Tree or Ivory Persimmon. It was an endemic species of Taiwan before 1870. Listed as Endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Ivory Persimmon has a black trunk and grows slowly. It is hard, dense, and develops a luster when polished. Often referred to as Ebony in the market, it is one of the precious timbers. An evergreen, rare tree species for bonsai. /In Stock/ Photos 1-5, taken on August 2, 2025. The black trunk is rugged yet refined, with the thickest part measuring approx. 1.4 cm. Cultivated in a pot for 12 years with multiple shaping and pruning sessions. Abundant branching has gradually formed a canopy. Repotted this spring and reshaped into a coiled Literati style.
