Even now, from time to time, "unseen" clasp styles emerge in the pre-owned market, offering delightful surprises! This particular bag features a horseshoe clasp. Since the 1960s, CELINE's designs have been deeply connected to equestrian themes (indeed, European high society has a fondness for equestrian sports). In fact, there are many variations of the horseshoe clasp itself, and this one is a more classic and versatile style. What makes this bag truly special is its circular shape! Those familiar with Celine will recognize this design, as a similar circular bag was reissued in 2021. Bags with a circular silhouette tend to command higher prices in the pre-owned market due to their rarity, and this one is a mini size! This is the first time I've encountered this particular style, and I fell in love instantly, acquiring it immediately! Holding it in hand, it's absolutely adorable. It's designed for hand-carrying. If you're determined to wear it on your shoulder, you can add a clasp and a chain or leather strap for crossbody or shoulder wear, but personally, I find it looks better carried by hand. Its capacity is akin to a "mini-bag," fitting a short wallet, keys, and tissues/card holder. It can only hold a few small essentials. For any circular bag, pursuing practical capacity is unrealistic. Consider this: all your belongings have "corners," while a circular bag is a round shape without any corners. Therefore, no matter how large the bag appears, space will be wasted when you put items inside. And if it were a large circular bag... well... it might be acceptable for taller individuals, but for someone petite carrying a large circular bag... It would be like carrying a shield (Captain America...?). Honestly, most circular bags are somewhat impractical. Therefore, one should not expect practicality from a circular bag. This style has a handle, allowing you to carry it by hand, which is convenient for keeping your hands free. Styling options are limitless. The entire circular edge is free from wear or peeling. The edges of the hand strap show very minor signs of use but no wear or peeling; the strap is entirely intact. The stitching connecting to the bag body is perfectly secure. It's perfectly functional for normal use, but definitely avoid swinging it vigorously like a child's pendulum... Most importantly, the decorative circular clasp on the front of the bag is engraved with "celine paris." The gold color is exceptionally rich, with absolutely no oxidation, discoloration, or gold loss. The interior leather lining shows no signs of sticking, powdering, or peeling; it's very clean. There's a small compartment for thin, small items like cards. The brand tag is inside. The external zipper operates smoothly. The leather has a natural sheen, giving the entire bag a lovely, cute, and beautiful luster. Overall, the condition is beautiful. Signs of use are minimal and confined to the hand strap. This is mainly because high-quality raw materials are now very expensive and scarce, and brands back then had very high standards for their finished products. This is due to not only the superior materials and meticulous craftsmanship but also because hardware from earlier eras was often plated with real K gold!
