The design is created using a resist-dyeing technique called "nukiboshi," where the color is removed from the indigo-dyed fabric, and then the entire piece is re-dyed with indigo to achieve a unique, uneven texture. After dyeing with indigo, we use stencils and a technique called "nukiboshi" (color removal) to create the pattern. This is followed by a second indigo dyeing process, incorporating shibori techniques for a beautifully mottled finish.
