<A unique beauty that brings you happiness>
In the past, when people living in Watari, Miyagi Prefecture, gave gifts, they would place them in a "bag" made from leftover scraps of old kimonos. For example, it might have been a 1.8-liter bottle of rice given as a celebration or a return gift. There was no set name, and "fukuro" (bag) was slurred into "fuguro."
"FUGURO" is a remake that recreates this traditional custom. The material is kimono fabric with auspicious patterns, carefully selected from thousands of pieces sleeping in chests. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted, imbuing it with the wish for the recipient's happiness.
We deliver a unique beauty that brings you happiness, by sewing the spirit of gratitude into our products, embodying the elegant custom of wrapping and gifting precious items.
<Luxurious construction using lustrous silk on both sides>
Two colors of thread are used to match the colors of the outer and inner fabrics. Please enjoy the beautiful stitching that is pleasing to the eye.
<A symbol of happiness: Auspicious patterns>
Auspicious patterns used as "symbols of happiness" are auspicious. Understanding the meanings of Japanese patterns connects us to the depth of Japanese culture inherited from ancient times.
<Fan pattern> "Success and advancement," "Improvement in skills and arts"
The fan, with its auspicious spreading shape, is welcomed for its good fortune. Also known as "suehiro" (spreading prosperity), it is a familiar and auspicious pattern.
<Japanese Gifts>
As they are made from kimono fabric, a symbol of Japanese culture, they are also used as souvenirs of Japan when taken overseas, or as gifts for foreign visitors. They are compact and convenient to carry. An explanation of the product in both Japanese and English is included.
<Various Ways to Use>
Use it as a bag-in-bag, or as a small pouch for keys or supplements. Fill it with snacks essential for your office refresh time. Decorate your living room as an interior accent. It's fun to think of ways to use it. It can be used in various ways depending on the user's ideas. It can also be used as a reversible item.
<The joy of gazing, the pleasure of collecting>
The kimono fabric with its auspicious patterns is an item that brings images of happiness just by looking at it. By collecting your favorite pieces, you can enjoy creating your own personal gallery.

<Notes on purchase>
*As all items are handmade, please understand that each piece is unique and may vary slightly in size, shape, and pattern.
*In rare cases, if we obtain high-quality kimono fabric, we may produce multiple items from the same fabric. Please note that the pattern may appear slightly different from the photo due to the cutting position of the fabric.
*Please note that the color and texture may appear different from the actual product on your screen. If you have any concerns, please contact us or refrain from purchasing.
*As the kimono fabric used as material is often second-hand and may not have labels, the material may not be identifiable. We thoroughly inspect and process the fabric, including washing, before remaking. Depending on the fabric, it may fade or shrink when wet, so please handle with care.
*As we also sell on other sites, please forgive us if the item is sold out.
