This is the first product to bring Koshu Inden, a traditional craft of Yamanashi Prefecture, into the realm of interior design. It was born from a collaboration between Inden-ya Uehara Yushichi, a long-established company, and feeLife YATSUGATAKE, a lifestyle brand by a contemporary artist. The texture of the ring, created by a unique coating on stainless steel with 12 perforations. The gentle softness of natural wood and the striking presence of Inden. Silver hands. By combining the layered structure that creates differences in thickness and elevation between each part with the three-dimensional effect of the Inden's lacquer patterns, the clock's expression changes with the play of light. A clock is a constant companion, much like furniture, so we want to adorn our spaces with items that truly deserve the word "beautiful." This is a "clock you'll want to gaze at," a concept that was missing until now. The gourd, also known as "hisago," was historically used as a vessel for sake and water. Its prolific fruiting symbolized prayers for abundance, and its unique shape was stylized into family crests and attire. The "Sennari-hyotan" (thousand gourds), famously used as Toyotomi Hideyoshi's horse banner, is also favored as a motif symbolizing prosperity and success.
