GF products are manufactured under high temperature and pressure, with a layer of 14K gold completely enveloping the base alloy. The thickness and adhesion are incomparable to electroplating. The outer layer of K gold is hard, highly resistant to wear, and will not peel off. However, depending on individual wearing habits and other factors, the outer 14K gold layer may wear down or change color. Similar to sterling silver jewelry, 14KGF can also oxidize and discolor. It is recommended to remove jewelry when swimming, exercising, or bathing in hot springs.
