When laid flat, the vest forms a square.
It is composed of one large square, one small square, and two rectangles.
When the stripes on the large square are vertical, the stripes on the rectangles are horizontal.
When the stripes on the large square are horizontal, the stripes on the rectangles are vertical.
The small squares all have diagonal stripes, with differing directions.
It is reversible, with two sides that appear very similar, yet are distinctly different.
This piece was inspired by recent math tutoring sessions with my daughter.
The varying directions of the stripes, much like opinions, could not be unified.
This lack of uniformity, however, creates richness.
If everything were aligned, it would be rather dull.
The small squares, existing diagonally, are the smallest yet most noticeable, and the most intriguing.
