Calm seas hold wondrous treasures, the corners of Nan'gao harbor preserve rare gems. In Cantonese culture, "leng" (靚) is often used to describe beautiful things. Leng jai, leng lui, leng che, leng wok, leng yuk si, leng haam yu – so this time, we're inspired by "leng" water people and "leng" salted fish. In my memory, the clothing of the water people back then had exceptional tailoring, perfectly showcasing the graceful figures of the women while maintaining practicality for work. And on the islands, fish by-products were undoubtedly another marvel. Living by the sea meant access to the finest ingredients, naturally leading to the creation of delicacies. "Hai Guo Qi Zhen" (海國奇珍 - Treasures of the Sea Kingdom) are four characters from the inscription at my grandfather's salted fish shop, "Hai Zhen" (海珍), back in the day. The inscription was by Cheung Chau calligrapher Chan Lai Fung, but it was lost and is no longer preserved. Therefore, on this garment, we've used the typeface by @Li Han Gang Kai (李漢港楷), hoping to preserve Hong Kong-style calligraphy in another form. Available in two colors (classic versatile white & special color olive) and five sizes. Continuing with the 190g/m2 (5.6oz) 100% Cotton Japanese brand tee, it offers a moderate thickness for the most comfortable wearing experience.
