If the leather becomes heavily saturated with water, gently blot excess moisture with a dry cloth and allow it to air dry in a ventilated area. 2. To prevent dark water stains if the leather gets wet, use a pure water wet wipe, a damp cloth (squeezed so it doesn't drip), tissue, or paper towel to evenly wipe the entire affected leather surface. Use a cool air dryer to ensure even drying. After drying, lightly buff with a dry cotton cloth and leather conditioner. 3. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. 4. In addition to the natural warmth and oils from your hands gradually imparting a soft luster and rich color to the leather, we recommend regularly wiping with a dry cotton cloth and then conditioning with leather oil. 5. Mold spots on leather develop over time from dust and humidity. If storing the item long-term, first wipe off dust with a dry cotton cloth, then wrap it in a dust bag, kraft paper, or cotton cloth (cut from an old white t-shirt), and store in a well-ventilated area. Frequent handling of the leather item (to prevent dust and moisture buildup) can also reduce the chance of mold. We recommend taking it out for the aforementioned care once a month. 6.
