Vintage German Excella sewing machine in original case. Excella was a range of machines made by Haid und Neu in Germany from the early 1900s up to the 1930s. Haid und Neu was initially established as a sewing machine repair shop in Karlsruhe, Germany, and they started making their own machines in 1862. This machine has serial number 3101197, and it was manufactured sometime first half of the last century. With our limited knowledge of sewing, we got this machine to stitch a piece of cloth. This does not mean we claim it be fully functioning and durable as it is a vintage item. We therefore recommend it is used for decorative purposes only and not its originally intended purpose. The body of the machine is in fairly good condition with signs of aging and usage that are representative of its age. The wooden case has surface marks as well as two cracks on one side. The wooden base of the machine also has surface marks due to usage. The metal of the machine has oxidation due to aging and the patterns is worn due to usage.
