Leptospermum scoparium 'Burgundy Queen' (commonly known as Manuka or Tea Tree) A native Taiwanese cultivated exotic species, this tree exhibits robust growth and is rarely seen. The designer has artfully sculpted it into a windswept, coiled form. Its spicate inflorescences bear pale purple, butterfly-shaped flowers, reminiscent of a valley of butterflies hidden amongst the foliage. Its beauty is most striking in natural light, possessing a truly unique character. It flowers year-round with a delicate fragrance, blooming profusely. Even in winter, it produces flowers. It blooms frequently throughout the year, followed by the formation of seed pods, which germinate well.
