Due to clay shrinkage and the flow of glaze during firing, the final product may not be identical to the photographs. The following are considered normal characteristics of handmade pottery rather than defects. Please ensure you accept these qualities before ordering: - Shape and size: Hand-shaping and kiln shrinkage result in a size variance of approximately ±1–1.5 cm. Due to trimming and the influence of high heat, edges and lines may show natural, slight curves rather than being perfectly round or straight, which is a normal hallmark of hand-craftsmanship. - Glaze and texture: The melting and flowing of glaze at high temperatures may result in subtle differences in thickness, variations in luster, or pinholes. Due to the manual dipping process, the inner wall or specific areas may feature small blank spots where the item was held or variations in glaze layering. - Natural clay markings: High-temperature firing can cause natural iron in the clay to emerge as tiny black specks. The surface may also have a subtle, sandy, granular feel or delicate natural crazing (crackle patterns). - Bottom treatment: To prevent sticking during firing, the base is left partially unglazed and carefully polished.
