This particular piece is in excellent condition, both inside and out, appearing very clean and new. The vegetable-tanned leather has developed a uniform, smooth, and lustrous patina. The hardware is bright and shiny. The leather trim shows no dryness or cracking; there is only a tiny mark of rubbing on the back (see photo). The strap is also in very good condition.
