Yuan-Shi Pan Postcard set. (Building/Elevator/Indicator)

"Hayashi Department Store is the important memory for many elderly. Yuan-Shi Pan, the artist, spent almost a year and presented three printmaking works to Hayashi Department Store as a gift for 86th birthday. By doing so, he showed his gratitude for the store to enlighten his aesthetics during childhood. The three works are ""The Most Trendy Thing"", ""Taking the Elevator"" and ""Hayashi Department Store, the Famous Place in Tainan"". In the work ""Taking the elevator"", it presents the scene of the Taiwanese saying that people wear the bamboo and sandels to take the elevator. A little boy in yellow with a backpack in the painting is the image of Wen-Lung Hsu, the founder of Chimei group. The artist, Yuan-Shi Pan, remembers that his mother took him to the store to buy uniforms for elementary school. It was his first time to take the elevator and the speed of climbing made him trembled in the heart.
