Our intention is to dispel the common misconception that tea is solely defined by its origin, and to emphasize that the tea's intrinsic character should be the sole basis for its appreciation and collection. In simple terms, we want the tea to speak for itself, without being misled by its name. Mountain origin names merely serve as a guide to understanding tea; the true measure lies in the tea's performance itself. Within the complex landscape of Pu'er tea, only by relinquishing the obsession with origin names can we avoid preconceived notions that influence our judgment of a tea's quality.
