Artist's Concept | This is an illustration postcard from the "Forest of Subconscious" series. Have you noticed that sparrows seem to be increasingly rare on the roads and power poles, replaced by many introduced mynas? In recent years, possibly due to territorial disputes with introduced mynas and common mynas, the use of agricultural pesticides, and land development, the sparrow population has sharply declined. Mountain sparrows, in particular, are so scarce that only about 1,000 remain in the southern mountainous areas of Taiwan, making them an endangered species. Whether it's mountain or plain sparrows, they all need our collective effort and care. If you see sparrows nesting at your home, we hope you won't drive them away.
