When corroding, the metal plate is immersed in acid. The anti-corrosion liquid will protect the covered part. The technique can produce very detailed lines. By controlling the acid soaking time, a plate-making method that produces dents of different depths on the plate. The printing method is to print the concave line image. Before printing, the entire layout must be rolled with ink so that the ink fills the concave line marks, and then the ink on the surface of the printing plate is wiped clean, and the concave line The printing ink still remains in the grain, and the printing plate and paper are pressurized by the printing press to transfer the ink from the concave part of the printing plate to the paper. Intaglio plates are often made of copper plates, so intaglio plates are commonly referred to as copper engravings. Artist Bio: Born in Hong Kong. Graduated from The Education University of Hong Kong in 2014. Because of his deep interest in printmaking, he also completed the Visual Arts Center Art Specialization and Continuing Course (Printmaking) during his studies and did a summer internship at the Hong Kong Printmaking Studio. After graduation, he established Marble Print & Clay with friends The print studio has been engaged in print creation and art education.
