This process results in a fabric that is "light," "soft," and develops a relaxed, natural texture that ages beautifully rather than deteriorating. We cherish this characteristic. Because we use shuttle looms over 100 years old in Kurashiki, occasional "weaving flaws" may appear, which can look like small "frays." These are unavoidable with the use of vintage machinery. While we strive to minimize these flaws through rigorous inspections at the factory and careful fabric cutting, and by placing them in less conspicuous areas if found, they cannot be entirely eliminated due to the nature of the machinery.
